What You’ll Do:
Depending on your assignment, you will:
- Coordinate employee return-to-work cases for work-related and personal medical conditions.
- Assess employees’ ability to safely perform their jobs or alternate job duties.
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and HR teams to ensure compliance with medical restrictions, workplace safety, and FMLA requirements.
- Monitor and track active workers’ compensation and light-duty cases.
- Administer occupational health programs such as vaccinations and wellness initiatives.
- Provide guidance on workplace exposures (BBP, TB, etc.) and ensure follow-up care.
- Support HR with ADA accommodations, drug test follow-ups, and EAP referrals.
- Perform case management interventions to help employees navigate health challenges affecting their work.
**A $5,000 hiring bonus is being offered for this position.Hiring bonuses shall only be for new hires of original employment or reemployment as defined in Human Resources Policy No. 5.0.
- $1,250 will be awarded in the first paycheck.
- $1,750 will be awarded upon completion of the six (6) month interim performance evaluation with an overall rating of “Meets Expectations”.
- $2,000 will be awarded upon completion of the employee’s one (1) year probationary period and a performance evaluation with an overall rating of “Meets Expectations”.
What We’re Looking For:
- Must possess an active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia or hold a multistate license through the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) that allows practice in Virginia. Nurses with single-state licenses from non-compact states must obtain Virginia licensure before employment.
- We welcome applicants with diverse nursing experience and are willing to provide training for the right candidate. Candidates should have a strong clinical background. Experience in occupational health, case management, ambulatory care, hospital clinics, or related fields is valued, but not required.
- Strong ability to assess medical conditions and provide return-to-work guidance
- Excellent documentation and communication skills to coordinate care with multiple stakeholders
- A proactive, problem-solving approach to employee health and workplace safety
