Seeking a Nurse Practitioner to support Internist in Springfield, Oregon
McKenzie-Willamette Medical Center in Springfield, Oregon, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join a hospital-owned clinic to assist their Board Certified Internal Medicine physician. The candidate will not be included in the call panels. Prefer a candidate specializing in Geriatrics. Prefer 3-5 years minimum experience; will consider a new graduate with excellent performance records.

McKenzie-Willamette Medical Center is an acute-care, 114-bed hospital serving the Lane County area. The hospital provides a broad range of services, including Intensive Care/Coronary Care, Pulmonary Medicine, Oncology, Da Vinci Technology Surgery, CT Scan, MRI, Maternity, Reproductive Services, Surgery, Diagnostic Imaging, Rehabilitation and a 24-Hour Emergency Department that is a designated Level III Trauma Center. McKenzie-Willamette is accredited by The Joint Commission.

Job Requirements

Education, training, experience:
Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Nursing from a State Board of Nursing approved school. Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program (Masters or Post-Masters Certificate).

Three to five (3-5) experience preferred, but will consider new grads.

Demonstrated superior oral and written communication skills. Professional and courteous communication, maintaining and enhancing self-esteem of others. Effective listening skills, able to respond with empathy. Effective, appropriate conflict management skills. Able to effectively assess educational needs of self, staff, patients, family members and caregivers. Demonstrates initiative and ability to work with limited direction to complete expected tasks.

Active Oregon Nurse Practitioner, Adult Nurse Practitioner, or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner licensure.
