Demonstrate a high level of expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of the complex patients and their responses to actual or potential health problems. Assist the health care team with the prevention of illness and injury, maintenance of wellness, and provision of comfort. To provides direction, education, leadership and accountability for program development, implementation and evaluation in area of responsibility. Includes professional development and empowerment of staff as well as management of resources to promote desired outcomes with attention to quality, efficiency and cost.

Has full authority and accountability for direction and leadership of program planning, guideline development, setting of practice standards within the confines of organizations/divisions/units mission, goals and objectives.
Manages human, fiscal and other resources to ensure quality programs/processes/services with measurable positive outcomes.

Job Requirements

Education, training, experience:
Qualified candidates will have Current RN licensure in Virginia or eligible or compact state a and AHA BLS HCP Certification or equivalent. Three years of nursing experience and a minimum of one year experience in the position's specialty patient population or practice setting are required. Experience in staff education and professional development (orientation, preceptorship, in-services education, etc.)
Academic health care experience preferred Advanced Practice Nursing Role or Clinical Leadership Role Experience preferred
