The Peri-Surgical Unit is currently recruiting for both full-time, part-time, hourly RN's to work in the Admitting unit for the Operating Room.

Job Requirements
Education, training, experience:
Qualifications:

Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire:

Current RN licensure in Virginia or eligible
Level and type of experience REQUIRED

Demonstrate critical thinking and care planning skills.
Demonstrate beginning clinical competency as required for the unit assigned
Education/training REQUIRED:

Graduate of an accredited RN nursing program
Regulatory knowledge: Must possess knowledge of local, federal and state laws and regulations and The Joint Commission (TJC) standards related to position’s chief objective and demonstrate aptitude for compliance with VCUHS policies, procedures, and customer service philosophy.



Independent action(s) required:

· Ability to perform daily activities with minimal supervision, self-directed in the accomplishment of routine

activities.



· Ability to assess issues that involve violation of VCUHS policy or procedure, that involve conflicts of a

sensitive nature, or that would be considered unusual in nature is to be brought to the attention of the Nurse

Manager.

This unit is not currently looking at new graduate RN's.
