The Operating Room is currently recruiting for a full-time Specialty Team Manager for the Vascular/Transplant team.
The STM will:
Demonstrate a high level of expertise in the Operating Room and in the Clinical subspecialty. Provides direction, education, and leadership to staff at all levels.
Deliver and accurately documents direct, age-specific care to a patient or group of patients based on medical orders and an integrated, multidisciplinary plan of care.
Safely administers prescribed medications, identifying incompatibilities and/or interactions.
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire
Current RN licensure in Virginia or eligible or compact state
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for continued employment including CPR, etc
Current RN Licensure in Virginia
AHA BLS HCP Certification or equivalent
Level and type of experience REQUIRED
Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience (in surgical services)
Charge Nurse, Resource Nurse or supervisory experience
Level and type of experience PREFERRED
Academic Health Care experience
Experience with similar patient population in either an acute care setting or as applicable to area of practice
3 years or more of transplant (liver, kidney & pancreas) and vascular surgery experience
BSN Graduate of an accredited RN nursing program
Certification in specialty area preferred
Describe supervisory responsibilities (if applicable)
Organizes work and delegates and supervises others (RN’s, LPNs, Care Partners, Unit Secretaries, etc) in carrying out assignments.
